Ali & Grant were married on a gorgeous September day at Friendly Crossways in Harvard, MA. A very unique venue, Friendly Crossways is a retreat center, so Ali & Grant, their bridal party and guests had use of the grounds and guest rooms for two nights. When we arrived, Ali and the girls were in the middle of hair and makeup in the common room, while Grant and the guys were outside playing yard games and helping put the finishing touches on the setup in the tent. After everything was set, they headed upstairs to get ready in the guest bunks. Once everyone was dressed, Ali’s Dad came in to catch a glimpse of her before she headed out for her first look with Grant. The bridal party was waiting in the wings to join us for photos before the ceremony, and we made use of all the great locations on the property. Aside from the main house, there was a corn field, apple trees and an amazing rock wall that would also serve as the backdrop for the ceremony. Ali & Grant were married by a friend, as well as having readings by a few friends and writing their own vows, so the ceremony itself was personal, funny and heartwarming. After the I Dos, the guests headed to the lawn for cocktail hour and yard games, before moving to the tent for dinner and dancing. Ali & Grant thought of every detail, from the fresh flowers and succulents on the tables, to the s’more ingredients as favors to be used at the camp fire later that night, to having a local brewer come and stock the bar and serve his own beer. Every detail was perfect, and were so happy to be a part of their big day!
Thanks and congrats to Ali & Grant!
