Kate & Joe were married on the last weekend of March at the Atlantic Beach Club in Newport, RI. We started with them at their hotel on the beach while they got ready, before heading over to the ceremony at St. Joseph’s church. As we all remember, March was a very unpredictable month at the end of a long winter, and it ended up lightly snowing all day. Luckily, Kate had planned ahead and reserved the Newport Art Museum for photos, just in case the weather was bad. It worked out perfectly, because we were able to do photos both inside and outside on the grounds as well. The bridal party was awesome, and even if they thought we were crazy for asking them to take photos outside in 30 degree, snowy weather, they did it anyway 🙂 Kate & Joe were very determined to get photos outside as well, and stayed outside with us at the museum and even wanted to stop at the beach on the way back to the reception. We love the way everything ended up looking, with the snow swirling and Kate & Joe looking so cozy together despite the cold, it was all very dreamy and romantic. As we told them that day, we think it’s pretty awesome to be able to get your wedding photos on the beach in the snow! After finishing up, we headed back to the Atlantic Beach Club, where the room was surrounded by windows with views of the ocean and snow falling outside. Kate’s mom did the beachy centerpieces, and the live band, Image, kept everyone dancing. One of Joe’s groomsmen wore huge cardboard cutout of Joe’s face for the introductions, and that made for an entertaining addition to the dance floor later in the evening! We had a great time, and we’re so happy that Kate & Joe asked us to be a part of their wedding!
Much thanks and congrats to Kate & Joe!
