Kathryn & Nick were married over Labor Day weekend, on the most beautiful day you could imagine. It was perfect, because our plan had us running all over the city with them, so it was great to have the weather on our side! We started the day with Kathryn and the girls at her hotel, and Nick and the guys at their apartment. Kathryn was beaming from the second we got there, the definition of a glowing bride. Once everyone was ready, we met up for the first look in a park near Kathryn & Nick’s apartment, a place special to them. It was beautiful, surrounded by brick buildings and greenery, and they were of course so thrilled to finally see each other! After a few photos in the courtyard, we all jumped on the trolley to our second location, Christopher Columbus park. With the sun shining, the sky and water were a gorgeous bright blue for some photos by the harbor. It was a quick stop, then back on the trolley to our final destination – Fan Pier. Fan Pier is so beautiful, with a cobblestone walkway, boats dotting the harbor and an amazing view back towards the city. With the sun just behind them, Kathryn & Nick and their bridal party were glowing! After Fan Pier, we made a quick stop at the Barking Crab, then walked over to the ceremony at Our Lady of Good Voyage, right in Fort Point. Kathryn & Nick said their I Dos in front of friends and family, before making their way back out into the city streets to head to the reception at Venezia. Venezia is also right on the water in South Boston, with yet another city view! Just after cocktail hour, we were treated to the most amazing sunset right outside the ballroom windows. So of course we snuck out to the deck for a few sunset photos! Once the sun dipped, everyone settled in for the bride and groom’s first dance, toasts and dinner. Once the dance floor opened, it stayed packed, including an awesome extra treat – some members of Kathryn’s family are bagpipers, so they made a special appearance, with a few guests even adding some Irish stepdancing! It was the perfect ending to a perfect day, and we were so glad to be a part of it!
Thanks and congrats to Kathryn & Nick!
