Shauna & Mike were married on a stormy summer day at the end of June. We started our day as they each got ready with their friends and family – Shuana at her parents’ house in Quincy, and Mike at their newly purchased home only a few minutes away. Once everyone was ready, it was off to the ceremony at a nearby church, before heading up the hill to Granite Links. The views from Granite Links are amazing, and as we approached the top we could see black clouds forming over the city. We raced to get started with photos, as we could actually see it raining in the distance. The approaching rain gave us that strange, beautiful stormy light, so Shauna & Mike really popped out against the dramatic background provided by mother nature. Even as lightening struck in the background, we stayed dry, and even had time to make it down to the ruins to finish up with some alone time with the bride and groom. And just as we finished up, got Shauna & Mike inside, and cocktail hour started – it started dumping rain, really pouring. We got so lucky! And everyone was safely at cocktail hour inside the tent by then, so it couldn’t have happened at a better time. It was one of those quick, hard summer rains, that couldn’t have lasted more than 15 minutes, and then the rest of the evening was beautiful. Everyone was able to mingle outside the tent throughout the whole reception, and we were treated to an amazing after storm sunset. Shauna & Mike had a perfect day, and now they also share an anniversary with us 🙂 It’s a great day to get married, and we hope you enjoy many happy anniversaries!
Thanks and congrats to Shauna & Mike!
